‘Art is a harmony, parallel with nature’
I am a Dublin-based artist originally from Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford. I graduated from NCAD with a BA in Art, Design and Education and have spent over twenty years teaching and creating art.
My work is deeply influenced by the Irish landscape, and by my own photography of coastlines forests and places that hold personal meaning. Through painting, I explore atmosphere, memory and emotion, creating works that blur the line between observation and imagination. Many of my works are also inspired by Irish mythology, folklore and the Wheel of the Year, weaving together ancient symbolism, sacred sites and seasonal traditions that continue and find new relevance in Irish culture today.
Working across acrylic, watercolour, ink and mixed media, I am drawn to colour, texture and light. My paintings often evolve into dreamlike interpretations of the natural world, capturing moments of stillness, wonder and connection.
